At the Law Office of Peter A. Romero, we focus our practice exclusively on employment law, and in particular on defending the rights of employees. We have extensive experience handling the following types of employment law cases:
Although some cases require an aggressive strategy to resolve vital issues, we are also dedicated to maintaining a high level of professionalism and civility. Our law firm has successfully represented clients through settlement negotiations, dispute resolution, and litigation, when necessary. We have also represented clients in appeals.

Mr. Romero is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law.

David D. Barnhorn
David D. Barnhorn practices exclusively in the area of employment law, including matters involving employment discrimination and wage and hour violations. Mr. Barnhorn aggressively represents both employers and employees in all areas of employment litigation, including trials, administrative proceedings before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and New York State Division of Human Rights, and in complex disputes involving collective and class action lawsuits. Mr. Barnhorn’s prior experience includes working at two boutique labor and employment law firms where he focused primarily on representing plaintiffs in employment disputes. Additionally, Mr. Barnhorn previously interned at a number of employment law firms in New York and New Jersey and also at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Matthew J. Farnworth
Matthew J. Farnworth has dedicated his practice exclusively to representing employees in labor and employment law matters including wage & hour violations, employment discrimination, and unlawful retaliation. Mr. Farnworth regularly represents employees in proceedings before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New York State Division of Human Rights, as well as in cases from inception to trial in both state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey. He has helped dozens of employees recover unpaid wages in collective action lawsuits and has secured significant damage awards for his clients. Prior to joining the Romero Law Group, Mr. Farnworth worked as an associate at boutique labor and employment law firms where he primarily represented employees in workplace disputes.

Angelica Villalba, our paralegal, is fluent in English and Spanish. Angelica earned her BA in Sociology at State University of New York at Cortland. She is ABA Certified in Paralegal Studies, Hofstra University. Angelica assists the Firm’s attorneys and clients with preparing and managing materials for legal matters.
